Supervision for CAM therapists
I think it is vital for people working on their own in any form of healthcare to get the support and advice they need through supervision. I have been supervising students in clinics, groups and individually since 2004. I am a Society of Homeopaths Approved Supervisor and have undergone training in supervision.
What is Supervision?
- advice and guidance in your casework and in all issues relating to building up and managing your practice
- a safe & supportive space in which to explore the challenges, discomforts and successes of your practice
- a process whereby you are encouraged to think reflectively and creatively about your work, enabling self-development
Supervision is important for self-employed therapists because we work on our own in what can be a stressful and demanding profession. Supervision provides a space in which you can talk about your work, get some support and gain a fresh perspective.
What I offer
Individual and Group Supervision for both student and practicing homeopaths and other complementary health practitioners.
- individual supervision by appointment during my normal clinic hours.
- email supervision for foreign students and others who are unable to come and see me in person.
- a new monthly student homeopaths tutorial group will be starting on 23rd April 2010, and will be meeting on the 4th Friday of every month. Please contact me if you would like to join this group.
